  2. 23 avr. 2023 · The curriculum at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, designed by Lee, provides the actor with opportunities to pursue his or her work systematically and to gain firsthand knowledge of the fundamental concepts of the Lee Strasberg Method Acting Technique. Through class work, seminars, exercises, scene work, and discussions, students are encouraged to develop of their art and themselves.

By 1970, Strasberg had become less involved with the Actors Studio and, with his third wife, Anna Strasberg, opened the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute with branches in New York City and in Hollywood, to continue teaching the 'system' of Konstantin Stanislavski, which he had interpreted and developed, particularly in light of the ideas of Yevgeny Vakhtangov, for contemporary actors.

  4. Geoffrey studied with Lee Strasberg for many years beginning in 1954 and became a member of the Actors Studio in 1956, the year of his Broadway debut. He made his film debut in The Bridge on the River Kwai. Geoffrey has taught Method Acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute since 1978.

  6. The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is the culmination of Lee Strasberg’s work. His students represent the 50 years Lee Strasberg spent training actors—from the Group Theatre in 1931, through the Actors Studio and the Institute until 1981, and beyond through the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
