Miriam Makeba, bijgenaamd Mama Africa (Prospect Township bij Johannesburg, 4 maart 1932 – Caserta, Italië, 10 november 2008), was een Zuid-Afrikaans zangeres en anti-apartheidsactiviste. Zij was een van de eersten die de Afrikaanse muziek introduceerden bij een westers publiek.
A final recording date, it would turn out to be. It's a typical Miriam Makeba album, her Reflections, and it's perhaps one of her best releases. It's a worthy swan song. PS: Thanks, Sasha, for bringing this album to my attention!
