In their journey back home, the Madagascar team find themselves relentlessly pursued by a murderous Animal Control officer, and as a way to escape the vicious huntress and get back to New York, the animals go undercover in a travelling circus, where they become close friends with the animal performers and, along the way, find themselves reconsidering where their true home really is.
