Strafford is a town in Orange County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,094 at the 2020 census. [3] The town of Strafford was created on August 12, 1761, by way of a royal charter which King George III of Great Britain issued to Governor Benning Wentworth of New Hampshire.

Morrill was an engineer of sorts which shows in the design of the home and grounds. Lots of artifacts and furniture in the house.

Strafford is a town in Orange County, of the Woodstock-Quechee region. The town was named after Benning Wentworth's cousin, William Wentworth, the Earl of Strafford, who served as an aide to the King and Member of Parliament.
