Antoine Monot Jr. is a Swiss actor, producer and director, known for his roles in Who Am I, A Case for Two and The Experiment. He was born in Germany in 1975 and is the son of Jean-François Monot and Gisela Monot.
Biographie. Fils d’un compositeur et chef d’orchestre et d’une comédienne, Antoine Monot grandit à Loheland près de Fulda dans l’Etat allemand de Hesse ainsi qu’en Suisse, à Zurich. Il étudie la mise en scène à la Haute école d’art de Zurich et joue par la suite notamment au Schauspielhaus de Zurich et au Theater am Neumarkt jusqu’en 1996.
Antoine Monot, Jr. is a board member of the Bundesverband Schauspiel (BFFS), for which he conceived the «German Actor Award» and held and hosted it for the first time in 2012. As co-founder of the Zurich Film Festival, he is also active there as artistic director until 2009.
