Le monastère de Mar Saba est situé près de la ville de Bethléem dans le désert de Judée, en Cisjordanie. Construit à flanc de falaise, le monastère a été fondé vers la fin du Ve siècle par Saint-Sabas, ce qui en fait l'un des plus anciens monastères encore actifs.
