Un hashtag /ˈh æ ʃˌt æ ɡ/ 1, un mot-dièse 2 ou un mot-clic 3 est un mot-clé. Il est composé du signe typographique croisillon 4, 5 (‹ # › appelé hash en anglais) auquel est accolé un ou plusieurs mots (dénommés « tags » ou « étiquettes »).
Un hashtag est un mot-clé (ou tag en anglais) précédé du symbole # (hash en anglais) que les internautes utilisent sur les réseaux sociaux. Il s’agit d’une balise qui permet de retrouver facilement tous les messages liés à un thème ou à un contenu spécifique.
