Ernesto Lecuona y Casado (Spanish pronunciation: [eɾˈnesto leˈkwona]; August 7, 1896 – November 29, 1963) was a Cuban composer and pianist, many of whose works have become standards of the Latin, jazz and classical repertoires.

Lecuona was a composer with a prodigious melodic gift. There is nothing quite like a Lecuona song and the composer wrote 406 of them. Many of these great melodies were adapted, arranged and rearranged over the years for various instrumental and vocal combinations both by Lecuona and many others.

En 1916 Ernesto LECUONA réalise son premier voyage aux Etats Unis. Il joue au théâtre Capitol, à la radio et l'année suivante est engagé au Aeolian Hall de New York. A son retour à Cuba son activité est intense.
