Laurence Ross “Larry” Kruteck. Lawyer. He was born in Queens, and was a successful lawyer of Manhattan, New York. He married the popular singer Laura Branigan in 1978. Kruteck had a daughter and a son from a previous marriage.

In 1979, after a chance meeting with manager Sid Bernstein on her return from Europe, Branigan was signed by Ahmet Ertegun to Atlantic Records.
