Kate Chopin, ou Catherine O'Flaherty au diminutif de Kate O'Flaherty née le 8 février 1850 à Saint-Louis dans l'État du Missouri et morte à Saint-Louis le 22 août 1904, est une romancière, poète, dramaturge et nouvelliste américaine de style réaliste et naturaliste.
