Jose Rivera was born on 24 March 1955 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a writer and producer, known for The Motorcycle Diaries (2004), On the Road (2012) and Letters to Juliet (2010).
Rivera. The first Puerto Rican screenwriter to be nominated for an Academy Award, for The Motorcycle Diaries, Rivera is also the author of 26 full-length plays including the Obie Award-winning Marisol and References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot, both produced at the Public Theater, New York.
