Frank McNab était un des leaders des régulateurs, second après Richard Brewer. Les Régulateurs comptaient une vingtaine de membres dont le célèbre Billy le Kid. Les Régulateurs désirent venger la mort de leur patron, John Tunstall. Ils capturent alors Frank Baker et William Morton, deux suspects dans le meurtre de Tunstall.

Frank McNab (or MacNab) (d. 29 April 1878) was a member of the Regulators who fought on behalf of John Tunstall during the Lincoln County War. Of Scottish origin, McNab was a "cattle detective" who worked for Hunter, Evans, & Company, which was managed by New Mexico cattleman John Chisum .
Frank McNab has exhibited in numerous galleries and exhibitions, including The Scottish Royal Academy, and is an artist member of the Glasgow Art Club. He has many works in private and public collections worldwide. His paintings have been used on numerous book covers and music albums.

15 mars 2020 · Frank McNab fell dead in the gunfire, killed it is thought by Jesse Evans gang member Manuel “Indian” Segovia. McNab was wounded and trying to escape up a gully when Segovia killed him with a shotgun. Weeks later, the Regulators again invaded the Seven Rivers area and captured Segovia for the murder of McNab.
