Richard Arthur "Dick" Cody (born August 2, 1950) is a retired United States Army general who served as the 31st Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army from June 24, 2004, to July 31, 2008. He retired from the Army on August 1, 2008.

20 août 2023 · Cody was one of the first soldiers deployed to Operation Desert Storm, where he led the 1st Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment of the 101st Airborne. Later, he served in Operation Enduring Freedom. In Europe, he deployed to Albania, where he served as deputy commanding general for Task Force Hawk.
Retired GEN Richard "Dick" A. Cody is a "Soldier's Soldier" and an "aviator's aviator." Receiving his commission as a 2LT on June 6, 1972 from the U.S. Military Academy, Cody served with distinction until retiring from active duty as the Army's 31st Vice Chief of Staff on Aug. 4, 2008.
