Gebhard Ullmann (born November 2, 1957) is a German jazz musician and composer. Career. At the age of six, Ullmann started to play the recorder and later classical flute. Since 1976 he studied a.o. with Herb Geller and Dave Liebman and at the University of Hamburg flute and saxophone. He also studied medicine from 1976 – 1982.
Born on november 2, 1957 in Bad Godesberg, Germany Gebhard Ullmann has recorded more than 65 CDs as a leader or co-leader. He received numerous awards for his work and is listed in the Downbeat Critics Poll since 2005, 2015 for the first time in three categories.

19 juin 2024 · L’année dernière, Jazz’Halo a consacré un dossier spécial à l’instrumentiste à anche allemand Gebhard Ullmann. Avec le premier album « Hemisphere 4 » de son nouveau quartet éponyme, il surprend toujours autant.
Born on november 2, 1957 in Bad Godesberg, German saxophonist (tenor and soprano), bass clarinetist, bass flutist and composer Gebhard Ullmann studied medecine and music in Hamburg from 1976 and moved to Berlin in 1983.
