Temporary Color 2016. Watched Dec 14 , 2021. John is tasked with filming David Byrne's Contemporary Color performances in Toronto and New York but there's already a bigger documentary crew with better equipment there and he's plagued with anxiety over two escaped murderers on the loose in the area.
if i have david byrne, st vincent, nelly furtado, ad-rock, ira glass, and blood orange in my documentary someday, i hope that i too would have the bravery to make it about escaped convicts and how i personally don’t like a competing documentary crew.
In 2015, Wilson was asked to go on tour with David Byrne to make an original film about his performance. Titled Temporary Color, the film has been called a "true crime concert doc about David Byrne and a pair of violent criminals". The next year, Vimeo asked Wilson to make a documentary about the Sundance Film Festival.
