The Shining: Directed by Stanley Kubrick. With Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers. A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where a sinister presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from both past and future.
"Come, play with us" is what the twins say to Danny in "the Shining", when they appear, they are killed by an axe and Danny starts to talk with his index finger: "You know this isn't real, Danny!" You can feel the sinister atmosphere, filmed in the (at that time) run down Paris neighbourhood Menilmontant and also in the abandoned charcoal store where I did my performance.
