What Became of Jack and Jill? is a 1972 British horror film directed by Bill Bain and starring Mona Washbourne, Paul Nicholas, and Vanessa Howard. [1] It was part of an abandoned attempt by Amicus Pictures to differentiate itself with Hammer Studios by breaking into the grindhouse market.

In order to collect inheritance money, a slacker tries to induce a heart attack in his invalid grandmother by convincing her that she's become the target of youth supremacists who want to enact a genocide on the elderly.
Together with his girlfriend Jill (Howard), he concocts a plan to drive gran to an early (ish) grave. A student march is due to come right past the house, so the pair use it as proof that the “youth” have finally snapped and are embarking on a Purge-style murder spree.

Screenplay. Two young people plot to get their hands on grannie's money, but rather than simply pushing her down the stairs they hatch an elaborate plot to convince her that radical youth have taken over England are planning to do away with "oldies" like her.
Since she’s housebound, and prone to fits, he and his girlfriend Jill (Vanessa Thomas) gaslight her with a yarn about a “Youth Power” movement going around all Gestapo-like and taking the elderly away, as a basis for scaring her to death, and inheriting her modest fortune.
