In his album Concertos for Trumpet in 1999, Nakariakov plays music transcribed for the trumpet from violin, viola, and cello concertos. He plays the flugelhorn for the famous Cello Concerto No. 1 by Haydn.
Sergueï Mikhaïlovitch Nakariakov (en russe : Сергей Михайлович Накаряков; né le 10 mai 1977, à Gorki) est un trompettiste russe, formé à l'école française, surnommé « le Paganini de la trompette » pour sa virtuosité technique et « le Caruso de la trompette » 1 pour son lyrisme.

Nakariakov was dubbed "The Paganini of the trumpet" by the Finnish press after a performance at the Korsholm Festival when he was only 13 years old; and dubbed "Caruso of the Trumpet" in 1997 by Musik und Theater.
