Quentin Hubbard was the second son of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology. He struggled with his sexual orientation and faced abuse and isolation from his father and the church. His death in 1976 was ruled as possible suicide, but some suspect it was a murder or a cover-up.
According to his unofficial biographers, Hubbard, who lived from 1911 to 1986, had at least seven children by three different wives, including one bigamous marriage.
Police discovered Quentin Hubbard unconscious in his car in Las Vegas on October 28, 1976, without any identifying documents. Although a hose connected to the tailpipe was found in the car's window, a test for carbon monoxide was negative. [11]
