The Stanway School is a mixed secondary school located in Stanway in the English county of Essex. [1] The school was converted to academy status in May 2013, and used to be a community school under the direct control of Essex County Council.
The Stanway School is located in the west side of Stanway, near Colchester, and has 1400 students across 5 year groups. It has a Humanities, Maths & Computing specialism and is part of the Sigma Trust.
Students study a wide range of subjects across KS3 and receive relevant and appropriate careers advice before choosing four options to take through to KS4. Throughout the school, students in all years receive Religious Education, Citizenship and Core PE lessons without terminal examinations.
