Steve Khan (born Steven Harris Cahn ; April 28, 1947) [1] is an American jazz guitarist.
2007 saw the release of the Grammy nominated " BORROWED TIME ." The recording was an extension of Steve's work with both John Patitucci and Jack DeJohnette, and sought to fulfill the promise of "THE GREEN FIELD." Manolo Badrena was on hand again, as well as Ralph Irizarry and Roberto Quintero.
Steve Khan is one of jazz's most underrated and distinctive guitarists. His unique chord voicings, intriguing melodic sense and subtle use of effects have illuminated work by The Brecker Brothers, Steely Dan, Billy Cobham and Joe Zawinul.
We began a series of Steve Khan solo presentations that has now taken us into 2020 with the first in this series being his 6-chorus solo over his own original 24-bar blues, " Naan Issue " from the just released, PATCHWORK (Tone Center).

9 sept. 2020 · Khan has a long history in the Latin Jazz idiom. His latest recording, Patchwork, subtitled in Spanish “Medio Mezclado,” represents the fourth in a series that expands the role of guitar in Latin music, particularly Latin jazz.
