Arwa bint Kurayz ( arabe : أروى بنت كريز) est née à La Mecque, dans le Hejaz, en Arabie 1. Elle est la mère de Othmân ibn Affân (qui deviendra le 3e calife de l' islam ).

Née à La Mecque, elle est la fille de Okba ibn Abu Mu'ayt et de Urwa bint Kariz. Conversion à l'Islam et fuite vers Médine. Bien que son père, membre du clan mecquois des Quraychites, fasse partie des opposants à Mahomet, elle se convertit en secret à l'Islam, avant 622.
Elle a épousé Kurayz ibn Rabia du clan Abdshams des Quraysh. Ils eurent pour enfants Amir, Urwa bint Kariz, (la mère du futur calife Othmân ibn Affân), et Talha et Umm Talha. Umm Hakim est décédé avant 610. Références
