Phyllis Margaret Cilento (23 December 1923 – 21 November 2006) was an Australian painter and printmaker. [1] Biography. Cilento was born in Sydney, Australia on 23 December 1923. [2] . She studied at East Sydney Technical College. In 1947, Cilento went to New York on a Travelling Scholarship.

painter and printmaker, eldest daughter of Sir Raphael and Lady (Phyllis) Cilento, was born on 23 December 1923 in Sydney but brought up in Brisbane. Margaret went to school at Somerville House when Caroline Barker was art mistress there.
Cilento produced most of her prints in the late l940s and early 1950s and is primarily known for her paintings which she exhibits regularly. She presently lives and works in Victoria.
