Danko/Fjeld/Andersen is the first of two albums featuring the multi-national folk trio of Rick Danko (Canada), Jonas Fjeld (Norway) and Eric Andersen (United States). The album melds elements of folk, rock, country and blues.

Early in his career, in the 1960s, he was part of the Greenwich Village folk scene. After two decades and sixteen albums of solo performance, he formed Danko/Fjeld/Andersen with Rick Danko and Jonas Fjeld, which released two albums in the early 1990s.
22 mars 2024 · After two decades of flying solo and releasing 16 studio albums, Andersen decided to be part of the Danko/Fjeld/Andersen trio. They would go on to release three studio albums together, performing together for nearly nine years.

While working on extra bonus tracks for The Lost Album in New York City, Eric teamed up with lead singer and bassist Rick Danko of the Band and Norwegian musician and songwriter Jonas Fjeld. In early 1991, in Oslo, they recorded an album built around their songs and harmonies.
