14 juin 2024 · The Awen Waterplay uses a 17,000-litre recirculation system instead of pulling in fresh water everytime the taps are turned on. Because of this, the splash pad also requires its own water treatment system, part of which is the UV filter and chlorine.
17 juin 2024 · The Town of Collingwood announced this afternoon that the Awen Waterplay splash pad is now open. The new waterpark was first opened in August 2023 and closed mid-September last year. This year, some residents criticized the town over a delayed opening of the park, and little explanation for the delay.
