Il y a 1 jour · Jean Reinhardt (23 January 1910 – 16 May 1953), known by his Romani nickname Django ( French: [dʒãŋɡo ʁɛjnaʁt] or [dʒɑ̃ɡo ʁenɑʁt] ), was a Belgian Manouche or Sinti jazz guitarist and composer. He was one of the first major jazz talents to emerge in Europe and has been hailed as one of its most significant exponents.
15 juil. 2024 · “Minor Swing” is a Gypsy jazz standard written by guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stéphane Grappelli in 1937. It was first recorded on November 25, 1937, on the French label Swing by the Quintet of the Hot Club of France in 1937.
30 juin 2024 · En ce 24 novembre 1943, tout se passe pour le mieux. Il est 17 heures lorsque Django pose un pied en Suisse ! Manque de bol, il est intercepté peu de temps après par des gardes-frontières helvètes. Longuement interrogé, il est ensuite… refoulé vers la France. Mais ce refoulement se fait avec humanité.

27 juin 2024 · La 44e édition du Festival Django-Reinhardt se déroule de jeudi à dimanche dans les jardins du château de Fontainebleau (77). Cette année le grand festival de jazz manouche rendra hommage à Sylvain Luc et Christian Escoudé, les deux grands guitaristes français récemment disparus.
