The work, which includes extremely misanthropic passages, contains the seeds of nearly all of the moral, religious, political, and social concerns that appear in Dostoyevsky’s great.
Notes from the Underground can be seen as an exploration of negativity bias. The UM’s negative focus often reflects the struggle of balancing innate human instincts with the demands of modern society.
