Mandalaband is a progressive rock band formed in England in 1974. The band is led by David Rohl who writes, arranges, mixes and produces their material. Rohl is also a controversial Egyptologist, once featured on the London Sunday Times front page with the caption "the real Indiana Jones".

MANDALABAND were a short-lived 70's creation of composer and producer David Rohl. The actual band was short-lived and produced only a single album; however, Rohl would subsequently incorporate the name into a multi-musician theme effort after the original group disbanded.
MANDALABAND III is the third reincarnation of an extraordinary progressive rock band with a long history. In fact, it has been thirty years since their last album (this must be a world record!)

4 févr. 2024 · Championed by John Peel and Alan “Fluff” Freeman, Mandalaband’s music was very different beyond from what ELP, Genesis, and Yes were doing. There were the symphonic textures, the Tibetan lyrical atmospheres, nods to the Tolkiensque universe, and taking the genre of progressive rock to a whole other level.
