There was a rumor that went around that Robert Palmer (the suave, sartorially impressive singer) wanted to make an album with a heavy metal band. After listening to this album he decided he really wanted to record with the Scorpions.

Herman Rarebell, Scorpions drummer from 1977-96, recalled tours with Aerosmith, Foreigner and Journey assisted encourage the genuinely challenging rock band to modify its tactic. “We saw how they wrote and we realized quickly,” Rarebell explained. The drummer had a hand in writing a pair of tracks on the album alongside frontman Klaus Meine.
