20 juin 2024 · Réponse. Ruth était une femme moabite, apparentée aux Israélites par Lot, le neveu d’Abraham «Ils prirent des femmes Moabites, dont l'une se nommait Orpa, et l'autre Ruth, et ils habitèrent là environ dix ans.», (Ruth 1:4, Genèse 11:31,19:37). Elle a vécu à l’époque des Juges.

It isn’t just the story of a foreigner who clung to an Israelite widow and found redemption. The story of Ruth in the Bible is deep and wide and goes beyond who she was as a person. Yet that doesn’t negate the woman Ruth at all.
