Typically, about 10 percent of Amherst applicants choose our binding Early Decision (ED) option. As an Early Decision applicant to Amherst, you agree not to be an ED candidate at any other college. You also agree, if admitted, to withdraw your applications from other colleges and to enroll at Amherst in the fall.

In Fall 2024 we will launch the Amherst College Textbook Solution (ACTS) program, which will provide all enrolled students with the necessary textbooks and course materials required for classes. All students will be enrolled in this program and all required course materials will be delivered to the student by the first day of classes.
