Venues included the Carfax Ballroom in Oxford, the Ricky-Tick Clubs in Kingston, Reading, West Wickham and Windsor, the Wooden Bridge Hotel in Guildford, The Jazz Cellar in Kingston, The Scene in Ham Yard, Soho and Uncle Bonnie’s Chinese Jazz Club in Brighton.

Op 3 november 2006 kwam een duetalbum van Eric Clapton en J.J. Cale uit, genaamd The Road to Escondido, met medewerking van o.a. Billy Preston, Doyle Bramhall II, Albert Lee, Nathan East, Derek Trucks en de vertrouwde band van J.J. Cale. Op 28 juli 2007 werd voor de tweede keer het Crossroads Guitar Festival gehouden in Chicago voor Claptons Crossroads Antigua Foundation.

En janvier 2010, Eric Clapton reforme avec Yoko Ono et Paul Simon le groupe Plastic Ono Band pour des concerts à Central Park en mars. Son dernier opus (Reprise records, 2010) sobrement titré Clapton est un recueil de titres jazzy sur lesquels apparaissent entre autres ses vieux complices Jim Keltner , J.J. Cale , Paul Carrack ou encore Sheryl Crow , Doyle Bramhall II et Derek Trucks .
About. Eric Patrick Clapton was born on 30 March 1945 in his grandparents’ home at 1 The Green, Ripley, Surrey, England. He was the son of 16-year-old Patricia Molly Clapton (b. 7 January 1929, d. March 1999) and Edward Walter Fryer (b. 21 March 1920, d. 1985), a 24-year-old Canadian soldier stationed in England during World War II.
