Little Village is what it is today because of our community-based, volunteer-led approach. We simply would not be able to do what we do without an incredible team of volunteers who give their time to ensure we can help as many families as possible. In 2023, 1,024 volunteers collectively gave over 34,000 hours of their time to support us.
The Little Village is a modern take on the original Village restaurant established in 1947. Our longstanding reputation is for serving Baton Rouge's finest classic Italian fare, prime beef, Maine lobster, veal and fresh Gulf seafood. Perfect for a romantic meal for two or the entire family. Remember, "You gotta get the bread!"
There was our founder, surrounded by her friends and neighbours – the first Little Village volunteers. Coming together, they supported a local family who’d lost their home in a fire. Volunteers remain at the heart of Little Village, whether it’s working with families directly, sorting donations, making deliveries or supporting over the phone.
