Terrance Stanley Fox, dit Terry Fox, est un athlète, humanitaire et militant canadien pour la recherche dédiée au traitement du cancer, né le 28 juillet 1958 à Winnipeg ( Manitoba) et mort le 28 juin 1981 à New Westminster ( Colombie-Britannique ).

Terrance Stanley Fox CC OD (July 28, 1958 – June 28, 1981) was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated due to cancer, he embarked on an east-to-west cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
A newly nurtured reservoir of compassion, combined with a fierce determination to bring an end to the suffering cancer causes, set Terry on a path that, quite simply, changed the world. Terry Fox is a symbol of hope in Canadian history and a pivotal movement in the battle against cancer.
