Millie Jackson. Mildred "Millie" Jackson (born July 15, 1944) is an American R&B singer and songwriter. She released her first album in 1972. In 1974 Jackson was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2000 she sung on some songs for the soundtrack of a French movie called Comme un aimant. [1] In 2008 she played Claudette in a movie called Soul Men.

5 juin 2023 · Millie Jackson grew up in Newark, New Jersey and spent her teenage years with her aunt in Brooklyn, New York. Before winning the talent contest in a Harlem nightclub, Millie occasionally worked as a model for such magazines as JIVE and Sepia. Jackson won the above mentioned contest in 1964 and signed a contract with MGM Records in 1970.
