Toutefois, BOOGIE NIGHTS souffre d'un côté anecdotique laissant certains éléments d'intrigue insuffisamment développés. Il en résulte un film moins profond que ce qu'il laissait entrevoir initialement, illustré cependant par une caméra nerveuse, un montage elliptique habile et une riche reconstitution d'époque.
If you've not seen Boogie Nights, do yourself a favor and watch it tonight! The caveat is that this is a no-punches-pulled story about the San Fernando Valley porn industry in the late 70's to 80's, incorporating parts of the John Holmes story into it's complex web of characters and incidents.
