Hofstra University accepts transfer applications for the fall and spring semesters and are considered on a "rolling basis." While there is no deadline for applications, students are encouraged to apply on or before March 1 for the fall semester and November 15 for the spring semester so as to receive the fullest consideration.

Hofstra's commitment to international students is evidenced by the availability of international student organizations, study abroad programs, international events, lectures and special services. Hofstra is ideally sized, with 4,000 graduate students, and offers a wide array of programs with 160 programs and certificates of study.
Hofstra also prides its own museum which holds an indoor and outdoor collection of around 5,000 works of art and up to six exhibitions per year. Its Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary and rare tulips reflect the institution’s Dutch origins - indeed even the university’s motto and logo used to reference the House of Orange-Nassau, saying “I stand steadfast”.
Hofstra has a vibrant campus with hundreds of social, academic and cultural events per year The Hofstra University Museum of Art is nationally accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The Museum, with a collection of more than 5,000 works of art from the world's diverse cultures, offers 4-6 original exhibitions annually along with related programs that engage varied Audiences.
