  3. Aftershock is an album by the R&B band Average White Band, released in 1989. Three original bandmembers returned; Alex Ligertwood joined on vocals. Chaka Khan sang on two of the album's songs. Track Records, the band's label, was unable to effectively promote Aftershock. The album was a moderate success in Europe.

  5. This isn't a stellar album, but it has its moments, mostly provided by electro-fun pioneer producer John Robie's production, which recalls that complex, clean Scritti Politti 80s polish. Standouts are the title track, The Spirit of Love (with background vocals by Chaka Khan), and I'll Get Over You, which sounds like a single, but never was.
