Oregon State Penitentiary (OSP), also known as Oregon State Prison, is a maximum security prison in the northwest United States in Salem, Oregon. Originally opened in Portland 173 years ago in 1851, it relocated to Salem fifteen years later.

Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) is a 33-acre (130,000 m 2) medium security prison located in Salem, Oregon, United States and is operated by the Oregon Department of Corrections. Established by an act of the Oregon State Legislature in 1955, the prison opened in 1959 and has a capacity of 880 male inmates.
Oregon State Penitentiary is a maximum security prison located in Salem Oregon. It can house 2,194 adult male offenders. Inmates are secured by ten armed guard towers, and a 25ft high wall. It is the only maximum security penitentiary in Oregon, and is also where the state houses death row inmates.
The Oregon State Penitentiary, Oregon's only maximum-security prison, sits on 194 acres of land in the heart of Salem, just north of Mill Creek on State Street. Twenty-two acres of the facility are surrounded by a concrete, twenty-five-foot-high wall that extends fifteen feet into the ground, with ten armed guard towers.
