  1. 4 juil. 2021 · To use the moonlight, set it at the midpoint of its travel. Put an eyepiece in the diagonal, focus using the scope focuser to the sharpest view. Then use the moonlight to get the finest focus.

  2. 28 juin 2020 · I put my longest focal length eye piece in my diagonal and racked my focuser all the way out then used the SCT "stock" focuser to focus on a star. Then I switched to the eye piece I had which needed the most in-focus travel.

  3. 26 mai 2021 · If you intend to use the focuser visually, a 2" diagonal with eyepiece will have too much back focus to work with the .63 reducer/corrector. At least that's what I found when attempting to use the Moonlite & R/C combination on my 14" Meade.

  4. 13 avr. 2018 · Figure 10 – A GSO Crayford focuser and 2" diagonal mounted on a fork-mounted Meade SCT. Note the insufficient fork clearance with the diagonal hitting the base. This configuration would be very tight even with a smaller 1.25" diagonal.

  5. 20 mars 2019 · Although SCT diagonals have female 2"-24 threads, they can also be installed on larger SCT scopes with 3.25" (used by Meade) or 3.28" (used by Celestron) threads using a 3.25"/3.28"-to-2" adapter that is included with the telescopes by the manufacturer.

  6. 13 janv. 2010 · When Meade/Celestron designed these reducers they were designed to fit on the visual back of the OTA ie downstream from the internal SCT focuser and the imaging plane was optimised at 110mm, ie providing ample backfocus to allow for filter wheels, CCD's and AO units.

  7. A diagonal adds a few inches to the image train. Please see the flange text below to double check that you are picking the best matching drawtube for the flange required. The 2" SCT thread regular profile flange fits Meade 8" and Celestron's 8" and 9 1/4" scopes. The best matched drawtube option is the .95" travel comp ring FR version drawtube.
