Ernest Shackleton, né le 15 février 1874 à Kilkea en Irlande et mort le 5 janvier 1922 sur l'île de la Géorgie du Sud, est un explorateur anglo-irlandais [1], [2], considéré comme l'une des principales figures de l'âge héroïque de l'exploration en Antarctique.
