Galactus est une entité cosmique évoluant dans l'univers Marvel de la maison d'édition Marvel Comics. Créé par le scénariste Stan Lee et le dessinateur Jack Kirby, le personnage de fiction apparaît pour la première fois dans le comic book Fantastic Four #48 en mars 1966.
Galactus (/ ɡ ə ˈ l æ k t ə s /) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Formerly a mortal man, he is a cosmic entity who consumes planets to sustain his life force, and serves a functional role in the upkeep of the primary Marvel continuity.
Galactus is a survivor from the Sixth Cosmos, the previous Multiverse. Originally, he was a Taa-an named Galan, born in the previous incarnation of the universe of Earth-616 on the planet Taa, a paradise-like world whose civilization was said to have been the most advanced of its time.
