The Stranglers est un groupe de rock new wave britannique formé en 1973, qui sera associé au mouvement Punk puis New Wave. A son origine il est composé de quatre membres : Hugh Cornwell (chant, guitare), le franco-britannique Jean-Jacques Burnel (chant, basse), Dave Greenfield (claviers) et Jet Black (percussions).
The Stranglers are an English rock band. Scoring 23 UK top 40 singles and 19 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades, the Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving bands to have originated in the UK punk scene.
