Calhoun Square, located on Abercorn Street, was laid out in 1851. It is the only Square in Savannah with all of its original buildings still around. Many of the homes built around Calhoun Square were built in the Greek Revival style.
Named for John C. Calhoun this square is in the historic district. Next to the park is a large historic church & the common school. Walk around the neighborhood then stop to rest, relax & enjoy the square before resuming your tour.
