25 sept. 2023 · Anton Mauve (1838-1888) is considered to be one of the leading members of The Hague School. This group of painters took the landscape around the city of The Hague as their subject. Mauve was particularly fond of sandy grounds, such as the blonde dunes, the beach at Scheveningen and the grey-green heathland around Laren.
