Red Cloud (en lakota: Maȟpíya Lúta en français Nuage rouge), né en 1822 près de l'actuelle North Platte [1] et mort le 10 décembre 1909 à Pine Ridge (Dakota du Sud), est un chef sioux. Chef des Amérindiens sioux Oglalas , il ne le devient que par sa bravoure et sa témérité, n'étant pas lui-même fils de chef.
