Elián González Brotons 1 ( Cárdenas, 6 de diciembre de 1993) es un ingeniero industrial cubano. Protagonizó un incidente de significativa relevancia en los medios de comunicación a raíz de su llegada a Estados Unidos y su posterior devolución a la custodia de su padre en Cuba en 2000.
Elián González, né le 6 décembre 1993 à Cárdenas, est un garçon cubain qui quitta Cuba en novembre 1999, emmené par sa mère, afin d'émigrer aux États-Unis.

Elian's mother, Elizabet Brotons, was a hotel housekeeper who had married Elian's father, Juan Miguel González, when she was 18. After seven miscarriages, they finally had a child, and decided on a unique name for him: Elián, composed of the first three letters of Elizabet and the last two letters of Juan.
