Ben Webster (born March 27, 1909, Kansas City, Mo., U.S.—died Sept. 20, 1973, Amsterdam, Neth.) was an American jazz musician, considered one of the most distinctive of his generation, noted for the beauty of his tenor saxophone tone and for his melodic inventiveness.
Ben Webster is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and Associate Faculty at Perimeter Institute. His research interests include representation theory, mathematical physics, geometry and topology.
