When Neil returns to his home town from off the beaten track, he encounters Walter, a man he hasn't seen for 15 years. When Walter suggests that he Neil work for him, Neil duly accepts. However Walter harbours a secret, that when Neil discovers puts him in between a rock and a hard place.
A way to get the young man back on the right track. Only things are not quite what they seem. Slowly we find out that Walter and Neil's life have been tangled together for longer than they thought. Ultimately... this is where the film takes it's title, putting Neil between a rock and a hard place.
