John Shakespeare, né vers 1530 [1] et mort en septembre 1601 à Stratford-upon-Avon [2], est le père du dramaturge anglais William Shakespeare.
John Shakespeare ( c. 1531 – 7 September 1601) was an English businessman and politician who was the father of William Shakespeare. Active in Stratford-upon-Avon, he was a glover and whittawer ( leather worker) by trade.
John Shakespeare was a successful glovemaker, wool dealer, and civic leader in Stratford-upon-Avon. He married Mary Arden and had eight children, including the famous playwright William Shakespeare.
